Who We Are

Who We Are

LA General Medical Center Foundation supports one of the largest, busiest, and most respected public hospitals in the world.
For over 150 years, LA General has delivered exceptional care to every corner of Los Angeles while training clinicians shaping healthcare around the globe.

We serve all communities, including those facing the steepest barriers to quality care — uninsured families, undocumented residents, people experiencing homelessness, patients in the county jail system, and many more.
For many Angelenos, LA General is their safe haven where world-class care is truly within reach.

Global Leadership in Training & Trauma Care

As a top-tier Level 1 Trauma Center, LA General treats more than 45,000 emergency and trauma cases each year.

We train the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, 900+ resident physicians, and students across nearly every specialty.

Our trauma and training programs are recognized around the world for their impact and leadership.

A Collaborative Ecosystem of Care

LA General Medical Center sits at the heart of a broader ecosystem dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of Los Angeles. As part of this network, the LA General Medical Center Foundation works closely with The Wellness Center Los Angeles, an independent nonprofit located on campus that provides community health programs, social services, wellness resources, and community support for patients and families.

Together, we strengthen the continuum of care — from world-class medicine to whole-person support — for the communities we serve.
